A FINANCE ENTHUSIAST TURNED GLOBETROTTER, LAUNCHED AI CANCER DETECTION TECH AND NOW INTERVIEWS INSPIRING FIGURES WORLDWIDE.
a dynamic
multi-talent.
I grew up in Iowa and initially aimed for Wall Street after making my first stock investment at 14. During college finance internships, I realized that path wasn't for me. Instead, I spent a summer teaching in a rural South African village, igniting my passion for helping people on a large scale. This led me to Medtronic, the world's largest medical device company, where I became the youngest sales manager in their 70-year history and helped launch an AI technology for detecting colon cancer. Though I thought I'd stay at Medtronic for life, my growing podcast demanded more attention.
Now, I travel the world, highlighting inspiring individuals such as CEOs, former hostages, U.S. Ambassadors, and blind Everest climbers. I also run a medical device consulting business, advancing world-changing technologies. I'm inspired by the outdoors, a constant learner, avid connector, and deeply passionate in all my endeavors.
my top takeaways
I have interviewed top leaders from all around theworld. Here are my top takeaways:
Surround yourself with (and hire) people who are better than you.
The world progresses through kindness. None of us can succeed alone.
There’s light at the end of the tunnel. Things that matter take patience and the journey is the most enjoyable part.
Having jealousy or spite is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die.
You have to prioritize your mental and physical health if you want to be highly productive. Workout daily, meditate, have a therapist.
Everyone experiences lows. It’s the suffering you end up appreciating the most.
Travel is the ultimate teacher.
